Covid 19 has affected the entire community, and we at Shady Grove are continuing to do our best to provide you and your pets with the most compassionate, individualized care possible. In order to do this for the foreseeable future we will continue to operate via a “curbside” policy. Clients will not be allowed into the clinic except for some special circumstances including euthanasia. Curbside policy is a necessity for two reasons. 1. This will minimize the potential COVID exposure of our staff, and help to safeguard their health. 2. It will also help us continue to provide care for your pets. Because we cannot operate remotely, a COVID 19 exposure within our clinic could necessitate the closure of the clinic for up to two weeks.
Prior to your appointment, please read the following checklist to facilitate your visit.
Please fill out and email the Patient Appointment Form available on our forms page here as early as possible prior to your appointment. If you are uncomfortable or unable to access the online forms, we do have forms located outside of the clinic that can be filled out “day of.” Please allocate enough time to complete these forms prior to your appointment. Please provide a phone number for the person bringing the patient. Once you have completed the online form, save it as a document on your desktop and then email it as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early for your appointment
Once in the parking lot, please call the main number — 804-421-7422 for further instructions.
A staff member will come to assist you with your pet. Staff members will not go into vehicles to remove animals. Make sure all cats are in carriers and that all dogs have tight secure collars. Please leash all dogs regardless of their obedience levels.
Shady Grove is adhering to the required COVID mandates of the state of Virginia. As much as possible social distancing is being practiced. Masks ARE required for any interactions with Shady Grove staff. This includes conversations through car windows.
Please make sure your phone is on and operating so that doctors can contact you during your pet’s exam if questions arise.
If you have a scheduled appointment and not a drop off appointment, please remain in the parking lot until your pet is discharged. We are seeing an extremely large number of drop off/sick pets and have a finite capacity for housing our patients.
Once finished, check out and payment will be completed by calling the main number 804-421-7422.
Thank you all for your understanding during this time. We appreciate your faith in us, and hope you are staying healthy and well. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to bring them to our attention.
